Over Het Prince of Wales Theatre

Een goed voorbeeld van verfijnde Art Deco-stijl uit de jaren dertig, is het Prince of Wales Theatre dat aan iets meer dan 1600 mensen plaats biedt, verdeeld over twee niveaus: de stalls (vloergedeelte) en de dress circle (balkon). Het interieur van het theater is prachtig gedecoreerd met rijke crème-, goud- en ivoorkleuren met dieprode fluwelen stoelen. Het ligt in het hart van het drukke theaterdistrict van Londen, net om de hoek van Leicester Square en op korte wandelafstand van het levendige Piccadilly Circus.

Zelden een show gezien die zo sprankelend en komisch is. Met een overdonderde vaart dendert deze voorstelling over je heen en na afloop denk je; ik wil nog een keer zien. een beleving van grote klasse.
